About Sonu Sood
Sonu Sood was born in may 1973 to a entrepreneur and a teacher in Moga, Punjab. He is an engineering graduate. He is mainly known as the antagonist Pashupathy in the fantasy Telugu film Arundhati (2009) and in Arbaaz Khans Dabangg starring opposite Salman Khan.
Sonu is an Indian actor, producer and a model. He has done movies in Kollywood, Tollywood, Bollywood and Kannada films and is equally popular in every industry. He also took part in the Grasim Mr. India contest and made it to the Top five.
Sonu has given a number of blockbuster movies not only in Bollywood, but in the south movie industry as well.
His recognition in south Indian movies gave him a couple of roles in the Bollywood films wherein he debuted from the movie called Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh in the year 2002, which gave him a critical acclaim. His other Bollywood movies include Yuva, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Seensha and Sishkiyaan. The other noted movies in Hindi include Jodhaa Akbar, Dabang, Budda Hoga Tera Baap, Shootout at Wadala and R-Rajkumar.
He also appeared in commercials for Apollo Tyres, Airtel etc
In 2009: Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for Best Villain and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Telugu for his work in the Telugu blockbuster, Arundhati.
In 2010: Apsara Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role and IIFA Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role for the Bollywood blockbuster, Dabangg.
In 2012: SIIMA Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for Julayi.
